The original Mount St. Mary Hospital was built in 1941, but it was not until 2005 that a charitable Foundation was established to support the mission and values of the Hospital.
Our role is to raise money to purchase Hospital equipment and to support programs at Mount St. Mary Hospital, especially those that the government does not fund, or funds only partially. New equipment and programs make a huge difference to improving the quality of the residents’ lives, helping to build a home-like environment and a caring community.
Support where it’s needed most.
Because our Foundation is so new, there are many programs and services that urgently need our help. Our goal is to raise, $315,000 to support Spiritual Care, Volunteer Services, Music Therapy, the Art Club, Pets, Resident Activities, Bus Outings, staff education and Hospital equipment like: pressure relief mattresses, commodes, oxygen concentrators and foam cushions for care comfort and safety.
Sisters of St. Ann Legacy Fund.
Our dream is to build a 5 million dollar endowment fund to ensure the existence of the life affirming programs from now and into the future.
This 5 million dollar fund has been set up at Mount St. Mary Foundation to honour the Sisters outstanding contribution to health care and education for the past 150 years and to ensure their mission of care continues.
